ABout juste presents

JUSTEpresents.com is a home for dancers and lovers of life—a vibrant hub created to uplift the global dance community through connection, culture, and pure joyful energy. Whether you’re stepping onto the floor for the first time or perfecting your craft, our mission is to help dancers grow, gain exposure, learn new techniques, and celebrate the rhythms that move us.

Rooted in the spirit of Afro-Caribbean dance, our events highlight the beauty and depth of Afro-Caribbean French styles such as Matenga, Kizomba, and Konpa. These dances are more than movements—they’re culture, expression, and connection. And they’re at the heart of everything we do.

Since 2015, JUSTEpresents.com has proudly brought unforgettable dance experiences to the DMV and beyond, including:

The Cherry Blossom Kizomba Festival & Weekender

The DC Matenga Festival, now celebrating its third year

For the past eight years, we’ve hosted dance socials across a variety of venues, keeping the community connected, inspired, and always dancing. Today, we continue that tradition with monthly dance socials at unique locations throughout the DMV—offering dancers a place to learn, grow, and vibe together. You can explore more on our Monthly Dance Socials page.

As we look forward to 2026, we’re excited to bring even more world-class instructors, more unforgettable events, and even bigger energy to the dance community.

JUSTEpresents.com — where culture, community, and rhythm come to life. If you love to dance, you’re already part of the family.

The Man Behind the Name

Meet Juste

DON'T COUNT, JUST DANCE!

Born in the Central African Republic, Juste Pehoua moved to Washington, D.C. in 1993 for college and soon discovered his passion for entertainment and community. He began promoting events in 1997, eventually opening his first Just Lounge in downtown D.C. in 2000, followed by several restaurants and lounges across the DMV. Throughout his career, he remained dedicated to celebrating Afro-Caribbean music and Afrobeats, hosting events that brought people together through culture and rhythm.

After selling his last Just Lounge location in 2023, Juste shifted his focus to the dance world—driven by his love for Kizomba. He has since become a key figure in the community, known for bringing internationally recognized DJs and instructors to the DMV and producing major events such as the Cherry Blossom Kizomba Festival and the DC Matenga Festival. Today, he continues to unite dancers through festivals and monthly socials, carrying forward his commitment to culture, connection, and unforgettable experiences.
